Course Outline

The IH Cairo is the only center for training teachers that is recognized by the IH World organization. The IH Cairo observes high standards of hands-on training to train and certify professional teachers of Arabic who follow our methods of teaching

Overview
This three-week course aims at giving you a clear understanding of the principles for teaching Arabic as a foreign language. By the end of this course you will have:
– Learnt how to apply classroom management techniques to engage your students in student-centered learning activities and to deliver effective and enjoyable lessons.
– Developed good awareness of the learners’ problems with Arabic in terms of meaning, pronunciation, grammar and morphology and classroom solutions for those problems.
– Learnt how to plan engaging lessons in order to enable your students to communicate in Arabic.
– Explored different techniques for providing your students with clear explanations and creating opportunities for them to practice and develop their Arabic language skills in class.

Requirements
– University graduated.
– Good knowledge of Arabic language grammar.
– Good working proficiency in English is a plus.

Enrollment – Teacher Training Courses Complete the application 

– If your C.V meets the course requirements, ILI’s course Director will contact you to arrange a pre-registration interview and an Arabic/English test.
– Based on a successful interview, you will be advised to complete the paperwork to finalize your enrollment.

About The Interview:

The interviewer will be one of training team. He/she will ask for information about the following areas:
– Your education and professional experience – you will be asked to speak in Modern Standard Arabic.
– Your reasons for taking the teacher training course – you can demonstrate your English speaking skills during this part if you like or continue in Arabic.
– Your proficiency in Arabic grammar and pronunciation – you will be asked to read an Arabic text aloud and will then be asked some questions about the grammar related to certain items in the text.
