Government-provided medical care in Egypt is very poor, and private care expensive. We therefore advise you to purchase comprehensive medical insurance before coming to Egypt. We recommend StudentGuard, used by many IH schools. Please note that you do NOT require vaccinations for yellow fever or cholera but we recommend that for up-to-date health information you refer to your own government-provided travel advice, or the World Health Organisation's website. These information portals should be able to inform you of the vaccinations/medications required for Egypt at any given time.

If you are taking medication regularly, or indeed if you take specific vitamins/supplements, please bring a sufficient supply. While many medications and vitamins are available here in Egypt, some are not. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact our students affairs department for information on local availability.

My wife and I are both studying at ILI. We were surprised and delighted to find how well the staff was able to accommodate our needs as a family. We are looking forward to completing both the ECA & MSA program. We've studied Arabic elsewhere but cannot recommend any other program as highly as that at ILI.
