Arabic script for beginners is a free online interactive flash application that teaches you the basics of Arabic script.
Through a very user friendly interface, you simply choose the letter that you want to learn and the program will show you a menu of available learning activities:

You can watch an animation that demonstrates how the letter is written.

You can hear the letter name and how it is pronounced.

You can trace the letter on a whiteboard using the mouse.

You can write the letter yourself on a whiteboard using the mouse.

You can see the letter written in different contexts; at the beginning, middle or end of a word.
